The Rope Worked a Treat

But the car and the hotel are being watched. I can't stay long enough for a proper post, but we learned quite a lot breaking into our old place. For one thing, it turns out the closet's a lot bigger than I thought, but on the other hand the Crown Lands really are Sacred Woods, so you win some you lose some.

I don't know exactly where Ben is, because he's out buying bus tickets with his credit card just in case that'll be all it takes to draw her away. I think James is dead. I have to go. I can hear the song and if I don't leave now it's all going to end incredibly poorly.

  1. The New Girl. Our assigned consultant, if you would. And the Song is His work, trying to corrupt me while I'm away from Ben. I don't think we'll be splitting up again anytime soon.

  2. Assigned consult- pumpkin what?
I really hope you'll find a way soon to post more, because now I'm worried like hell. ._.

  3. I'm not sure if asking you this question will get you in trouble, and if it will feel free to ignore it, but does a group/individual calling themselves "The Church" mean anything to you? Jean from Vivere Disce has gone missing and it's the only lead we've got. Again, if you don't know anything or can't answer this, I understand. I was just wondering if you knew.

    Stay safe.

  4. @Broeckchen. An explanation is incoming, and sorry if I sounded cryptic in all the panic.

And Alora, the closest I've heard to a group calling 'themselves' The Church is the insane ramblings of my old boss. James was very into religious motifs (hence the term Heretic) and like to use terms like that. He used to refer to every Servant collectively as 'The Church', but I wouldn't be so quick to say they're one in the same.

It's likely a collection of Touched Servants suffering the delusion of His origin as that of a God, if they're calling themselves The Church. Religious associations are a common symptom of His corruption, though, so I'm not sure it helps to know that or narrows it down at all.

  5. That's actually helpful, but worrying. If Jean got taken and Kim's all alone...

    Shit.
